When I laid my eyes on the infinite shades of green of the Longji rice fields, I literally shed a couple of tears. I was honestly moved by so much beauty while I climbed the paddies to see the sunset.  The next morning, I set out on the most amazing 7 hours hike across the luxurious, damp and fragrant nature.  What can I say, there's something about about these colors and shapes.  I'm the kind of person who gets emotional with geometrical patterns and art :)

Cuando mis ojos vieron los infinitos tonos de verdes de las terrazasas de arroz de Longji, literalmente lloré un poco. De verdad estaba emocionada por tanta belleza mientras subía los arrozales para alcanzar a ver ponerse el sol.  La mañana siguiente, partí al paseo más impresionante de 7 horas a través de esta naturaleza lujuriosa, húmeda y fragante.  Qué puedo decir, me pasa algo con estos colores y formas.  Me suelo emocionar con la geometría de patrones y en el arte :)

Zhangjiajie, Hunan

China has some of the most breath-taking landscapes I've seen.  When I finally made it to Zhangjiajie National Park, a thick layer of fog covered everything. But eventually it unveiled the unbelievable scenery. And it made me forget the unreal amount of steps I had to climb to get there! I was soaked in sweat but couldn't stop smiling.

China tiene algunos de los paisajes más lindos que he visto. Cuando por fin llegué al Parque Nacional Zhangjiajie, una capa gruesa de bruma lo cubría todo. But al cabo de un rato, pude descubrir un increíble alucinante. Y se me olvidó la cantidad indecente de peldaños que tuve que subir para llegar ahí!  Estaba empapada en sudor pero no podía dejar de sonreír.

Yangshuo, Guangxi

Beautiful geography, great company with my two adorable friends from the Canary Island, Yurena and Pedro, who I had the luck of meeting again later in Hong Kong. They adopted me and took me with them on their scooter.  We rode all across town and through the rice fields, squeezed like a sandwich on the tiny seat, but we were happy...

Geografía maravillosa, buena compañía también junto a mis dos adorables canarios, Yurena y Pedro, con quienes tuve la suerte de encontrarme de nuevo después en Hong Kong.  Me adoptaron y me llevaron en su moto.  Anduvimos por toda la ciudad y por los arrozales, apretados como sardinas, pero felices...

Fenhuang, Hunan.

Fenghuang has a lovely little historic center, that turns into Karaoke Disneyland as soon as the sun goes down.  I enjoyed my stroll in the tiny alleys and ancient temples, but was kind of upset by what local tourism is doing to China...

Fenghuang tiene un centro histórico precioso, que se convierte en un gran paraíso del karaoke a penas se esconde el sol.  Disfruté de mi paseo por las callecitas y templos milenarios, pero me dio pena ver lo que el turismo local le está haciendo al país...

Landing in China was one of the most exciting, nerve-wrecking, astonishing experiences I've had on this trip.  I felt afraid, intimidated, shocked, bewildered and in awe.
I had a hard time adjusting, but when I finally did, an incredible journey began.
I saw surreal landscapes, ate pretty weird stuff, learned a few lessons and made a couple of new friends.
Here are a few pictures of my first days in Beijing.

Aterrizar en China fue una de las experiencias más emocionantes, estresantes e impresionantes que he tenido en este viaje.  Me sentí asustada, intimidada, choqueada, desconcertada y en admiración.
Me costó adaptarme, pero cuando finalmente lo logré, empezó una gran travesía.
Vi paisajes surrealistas, comí cosas rarísimas, aprendí un par de lecciones y me hice amigos entrañables.
