After spending 5 days giggling all day with my favorite French travelers, Emy & Thibaut, in Patara, I'm back on my own, convincing myself that loneliness is in the head...

Going back in time a few weeks, I miss those unbelievable shades of blue I saw everywhere in Cyprus.  It felt like the sky dyed every single wall, ceiling and window.  I also miss the tranquil conversations with my dear cousin Kosta, about family, life and beauty.


Volviendo hacia atrás un par de semanas, siento nostalgia al recordar esos increíbles tonos de azul que vi en Chipre. Era casi como si el cielo se hubiera desteñido sobre cada muro, techo y ventana.  También extraño esas conversaciones tan tranquilas con mi querido primo Kosta, sobre la familia, la vida y la belleza.

Spending a few days in Mehmet's Otel premises, where I volunteer taking care of the horses and other tasks (including some quite artistic ones like painting signs!) for free accommodation and food.  The light after 7 pm makes these two nibbling cuties look shiny...

It has been an amazing stay, sleeping under the stars while hearing the horses breathe, going out on canoe tours with the staff, and meeting a bunch of friendly travelers!  :)

Estoy pasando unos días en los establos del Hotel Mehmet, donde trabajo de voluntaria cuidando a los caballos y ocupándome de otras tareas (incluyendo algunas bastante artísticas, como pintar carteles!) a cambio de alojamiento y comida gratis.  La luz después de las 19:00 hace que estos dos regalones se vean dorados...  Ha sido una estadía increíble, durmiendo bajo las estrellas y escuchando a los caballos respirar, acompañando al equipo del hotel en sus paseos en canoe, y conversando con miles de viajeros! :)
